The Gracewood Estate at Kurtz Orchards is a sunning venue in the Niagara on the Lake region with a unique dining area under the trees. Guests are invited to dine Al Fresco under the draping branches of nearby trees that creates an intimate dining experience. This setting was the perfect backdrop to create a timeless, table scape with sweeping views of the estate. The Gracewood estate has a truely unique vineyard dining experience.

When we were approached by Lindsay from Lindsay Plank Events to collaborate on a Niagara Vineyard styled shoot we were absolutely thrilled! After initially chatting about the romantic and timeless look with a dusty blue colour palette, we immediately thought of white peonies and soft blush ranunculus. We always love incorporating garden grown flowers whenever possible and I knew I wanted to include these sweet butter yellow Globe Flowers I had growing in the garden. The soft yellow colour was the perfect compliment to the dusty blue! Globe flowers are related to the Ranunculus family and the soft yellow colour was the perfect addition to the floral arrangements, to create a floating airy feel. We focus on sourcing local, in season flowers and its always serendipitous to use our own garden grown flowers including these stunning white peonies called Duchess de Nemours!

The wedding photographer, Madison Rose, captured the ethereal essence of the shoot with the dappled sunlight falling on the table scape and a light and airy feeling. The tabletop decor from Simply Beautiful Decor had delicate gold accents that were mirrored in the stationary and sweet treats including macaroons.

The ceremony space was located under a large tree and showcased one of the many amazing outdoor wedding locations on this expansive estate. We designed a freestanding arch, with fresh greenery and covered in peonies. Dusty blue candles lined the aisle to add additional atmosphere to the space. After the ceremony, the arch was re-purposed to the reception space and used as decor behind the head table. We always suggest moving ceremony floral elements to be enjoyed throughout the evening. This freestanding wedding arch was a foam free floral design, without the use of floral foam as floral foam is toxic for the environment.
