The historic Distillery District in Toronto is one of our favourite downtown locations. With numerous architectural details, this area has numerous spots for wedding photos. On any give Weekend, you will often catch a glimpse of a newly married couple walking along the cobble stone streets. One of our favourite wedding venues in the distillery district is Archeo. With wooden beams and exposed brick walls, this space is the perfect backdrop for an Archeo wedding.

The distillery district got its name from the Gooderham and Worts distillery that used to operate in some of the buildings. Archeo’s main space is a repurposed 19th century carpentry shop that flows onto a large private outdoor patio. The couple held their reception at Archeo and wanted to focus on creating a large cloud-like installation in the center of the room. This large hanging floral installation was the main focal point of the space and was immediately visible as you entered into the party. We wanted to focus on creating texture and shape with the hanging florals so we primarily used baby’s breath and limonium. This hanging floral installation provided an intimate atmosphere as the couple shared their first dance beneath the soft, delicate flowers. The bride wanted a neutral white and green colour palette with soft touches of blush. For the bridal flowers we incorporated roses, anemones, ranunculus and eucalyptus in her bouquet that was finished with soft flowing ribbons.

We always love creating hanging floral designs and installations and were beyond thrilled to be back at Archeo for another stunning celebration. For more wedding inspiration in the distillery district, here is another wedding we designed at Archeo that featured glass bud vases and a floral arch. Photos of this lovely wedding were captured by Lisa Vigliotta Photography and Event management was provided by Diana & Co Events.
