A & E | Cave Spring Vineyard Wedding
Combining modern touches with a classic romantic details.
It can be challenging deciding on a style or look for your wedding. Whether you are draw to romantic garden inspired details, or clean modern lines, Alexa and Eric’s wedding at Cave Springs Vineyard highlights how to successfully combine fine art details and modern touches. Beth Jacobs from Beth Jacobs events, put together a stunning design that featured romantic old world elements with a classic neutral colour palette. The floor plan was a mix of long harvest tables as well as round guest tables. With the variation in table design, we were able to create two distinct table looks. The harvest tables featured low ceramic bud vases with brass taper candles while the round tables had lush centerpieces in a brushed gold vase. Both tables we adorned with stunning stationery designs by Blanche Heirloom including handmade menu cards that doubled as place settings for guests. One of my favourite details was the fresh fruit, specifically figs and blueberries, that gave a slight nod to still life paintings.
The ceremony space was designed with a semi-circle meadow installation that delicately framed the couple. After the ceremony, the meadow pieces were repurposed o the head and guest tables and created a stunning impact in the reception space. In order to create a more modern feel for Alexa’s bouquet, we focused on keeping the floral selection to a few different varieties. By using garden roses, spray roses and snowberries, there was enough interest to connect to the rest of the floral design but the look felt sleeker. We also chose to keep the bouquet stems longer and used a tight wrap to compliment her stunning dress.
