Repurposing Designs: Ceremony to Reception

One of the most common comments we hear from couples is “I want my ceremony to be beautiful but it’s going to be really short”. We ALWAYS recommend designs that are versatile and not only have a big impact on creating a beautiful ceremony space but can be repurposed to your reception after you have said your vows. Some designs are easier to transport than others so we highly suggest you chat with your floral designer regarding your options. By repurposing design elements, we are also taking an eco-conscious approach by utilizing your florals to their fullest potential.

Here are three design elements that can be repurposed from your ceremony to reception;

1. Moongate Arch - Head Table backdrop
A decorative arch, like our curved moongate arch, is a stunning backdrop that can transform any ceremony location.  As it is designed on a metal frame, it can easily be repurposed to the reception as a head table backdrop, photo backdrop or it can be placed nest to a welcome sign.

2. Meadow Pieces - Head Table floor installation
If you love installation pieces, opt for a couple of low meadow pieces that either frame the ceremony space or lead down the aisle.  These low arrangements create a big impact in front of a sweetheart table as an additional installation for the reception.

3. Ceremony Urns - Reception entrance arrangements
Ceremony urns, often placed on pedestals; they are the most versatile design element!  After the ceremony, they are simply carried and placed in a new location with little fuss.  They can be placed behind the head table, near a podium or at the entrance of your reception space.

Tips: be mindful of your timeline and allow at least 20 minutes for a design to be moved. If you are having a cocktail hour in a separate space, the transition will be quick and easy.
