Midsummer Night's Dream Editorial

Our most popular Pinterest Pins

For the past two years, these images have been our most popular pins on Pinterest! Maybe it’s the ethereal, airy vibe of this look, or the moody organic feeling of how the moss seems to grow out of the table. Either way, we love creating designs inspired by this shoot!

I had been dreaming about this design for a few months before I was finally able to find a space and time to try and create it.  One of my favourite novels is “the Secret Garden” by Frances Hodgson Burnett, and this tablescape installation was inspired by this story!

I wanted to create a design that appeared to be growing on the table and highlighted the relationship between the flat, natural wooden table and a soft organic installation.  I used pin frogs to hold the flower stems and live moss to cover the mechanics.  I wanted the design to feel very natural, so I chose a neutral colour palette of white, green and natural.  The resulting design feels magical, almost like fairies dancing across the table.  Flowers included are Scabiosa pods, Astrantia, Astilbe and Ferns.
