C & A | Harbourfront Wedding
What a whirlwind romance this was! With a very short engagement, C & A decided to plan a wedding in just over three months with the help of Lindsay from Lindsay Plank Events. The venue for this wedding celebration was Boxcar Social Harbourfront. Located downtown Toronto off Queen’s Quay by the water, Boxcar Social has stunning views of Lake Ontario and Toronto Island.
Boxcar Social offers a multi-roaster cafe during the day and a fantastic restaurant during the evening. C & A decided to have their ceremony inside the space before moving outside to the patio for cocktail hour. The indoor space was flipped to accommodate long harvest tables with soft romantic florals.
The colour palette for this Toronto wedding was a soft blush, ivory with a neutral accent. We wanted to convert the space from a moody industrial vibe to something more soft and romantic. The flowers were a main focal point of the decor for this wedding. We wanted to create something that still fit the space but also elevated the atmosphere for a wedding celebration. We love working with Lindsay as she has such a great eye for detail. For the ceremony space we opted for two large urns on our white pedestals to frame the couple. By incorporating our natural table runners and white pedestal centerpieces, the entire space felt transformed. We incorporated pillar candles and bud vases to give the tables some extra fullness as there was no set seating plan. The subtle shape of the rose centerpieces on the table mirrored the curving lights hanging overhead. Boxcar Social Harbourfront is the perfect location for a summer wedding in downtown Toronto.
We used a number of local and in season flowers for this event including scabiosa, lisianthus, snowberries, dahlias and queen anne’s Lace. Additional flowers include roses, ranunculus and eucalyptus. The photography was captured by Beth from Elizabeth in Love.
