Organic Ethereal Tablescape

It is so fulfilling to see a design come to life. When Victoria first contacted us about her wedding at Ancaster Mill she described her look as "a moody whimsical forest inspired by The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit". I mean, how cool does that sound? This deconstructed moss look was a custom design we created for Victoria with our Event Design service. Victoria had discovered a past shoot we did that embodied a similar look- airy, organic flowers with moss details. As it happens, that shoot is one of our top pins on Pinterest! After we had decided on a table scape design, we knew we wanted to incorporate some special details so we referred Victoria to Cody at who created the most stunning mini calligraphy scrolls. We wanted to create something special for the ceremony which took place in the Ancaster Mill chapel. The ceremony inspiration (see below) was described as a “fairy meadow”. To create this look we incorporated a grouping of large logs (yep, actual logs), moss, natural textures and unique flowers. We wanted the couple to feel enclosed in an intimate space as if they were saying their vows in the middle of a forest. For Victoria’s bouquet, we incorporated a number of ferns and delicate flowers to create a soft and flowy feel. I have included some of the design details below so you can get a clearer idea of our event design process. From the overall aesthetic, to artistic inspiration and finally the ceremony design and tablescape looks.

What do you think? Are you getting Middle Earth vibes?
